Hi! I am Hailee, and this is the start of my food blogging adventure! I love to create recipes and come up with new ideas in the kitchen. When possible, I use all organic ingredients in my recipes. (Yes, it is way more expensive, but to me, totally worth it!) I am an avid blog reader, and I am always combining recipes from different places to make them my own.
Being the Instagram lover that I am, I have frequently posted pictures of my latest creations on my personal Instagram account. Friends and family will ask me about my meals and where I got the recipe, which is one of the reasons I was inspired to start this blog.
The first thing to know about me is I am a lifelong vegetarian. I have never eaten meat. Yes, you read that right. And to answer most people’s burning questions: No I have never had bacon. Never eaten a cheeseburger. Haven’t had a steak. Never had wings. Not even chicken. The list goes on and on. If you enjoy your meat, I by no means want to change that, but this is what works for me! I do however live with my meat-loving boyfriend. So I am always trying to keep him satisfied with my variety of vegetarian meals. He was at first surprised at how much he could enjoy a meal that didn’t have meat!
I am always working on being the healthiest and best version of myself. Aside from healthy & organic eating, I love to be active. In the past year I have developed a great passion for yoga. I am soon embarking on a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training program. In addition to yoga, I enjoy weight lifting to round out my exercise. I am always striving to work out 6 times in a week! The reality is I go 4 to 5 times, but I like to set the bar high!
Professionally, I am a third grade teacher in New Jersey. I reside in Hoboken, NJ with my boyfriend, Mike.
